I am based in the Inner North-Eastern suburbs of Adelaide and am currently servicing NDIS participants across Metropolitan Adelaide. As a Support Coordinator, I work alongside participants and their families to help them design the life they want, under their terms. I am passionate about helping people achieve their goals and to work towards living a meaningful, fulfilled life. My goal is to assist my clients to use their NDIS funding to not just survive but to Thrive! Life is for living and everyone deserves to have a life that they love, time with friends and quality time outside of their home. I absolutely love helping my clients work towards their goals and improve their everyday lives.

Prior to my current role working in the disability sector, I spent 8 years working as a Registered Nurse across many different areas of the hospital system including Intensive Care Unit, Emergency department, Palliative care, Oncology, Brain injury Rehabilitation, Spinal, Stroke, and many Surgical wards. During my time nursing, I cared for a huge variety of people with vastly different backgrounds and life circumstances. I cared for many people with long-term disabilities and also others who were just at the beginning of their journey. During this time, I was involved with a great deal of discharge planning and management of complex care requirements. I was responsible for coordinating a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency approach to ensuring good outcomes for patients following discharge.

During my Nursing studies and while my eldest son was little, I worked as a Youth Support Worker caring for children with complex care needs in out of home care. I was directly involved in the day to day running of the household, implementing care plans and behavioural support plans and attending therapy sessions with the children under my care. I loved my role and missed it greatly when I finished my nursing degree.

I have spent my life caring for people and my role as an Independent Support Coordinator has given me the opportunity to really make a difference to people’s lives and improve their long-term outcomes.
